Deep River Dog was inspired by my two adorable fur babies, Mitzi and Kari. I began making collars for them and really enjoyed the process of personalizing with whatever fabric and hardware I wanted. Then I started making custom collars for friends. Eventually I ran out of friends with dogs, and that’s when I realized my desire to continue designing accessories just for pooches. Deep River Dog made their debut locally at farmers markets, craft fairs and shops. I was thrilled to see that people liked them! A bonus is meeting the dogs who came by at my outdoor markets. Getting to pet dogs all day and chat with their owners is really the best! So be sure to stop by my next market and say hello!
Finding something that you enjoy doing and making a business out of it is what I have strived for in life. I am infinitely happy to be finally be here doing what I’ve waited so long to do.
